STEPHANIE
HALOVANIC
Hi there, I'm Stephanie.
I am senior at the Missouri School of Journalism studying international print and digital journalism with a minor in history, graduating May 2014. I have worked as a writer for the Dallas Observer, the Columbia Missourian and The Argentina Independent. I co-host a weekly music radio show on KCOU-88.1 in Columbia, MO. Alongside my journalism endeavors, I am a strong advocate for the education of young girls, and am a program producer for the Girls Inc. affiliates in Dallas, TX.
This summer, I will be starting a career in account services as an intern with Slingshot, an advertising agency in Dallas. I have recently grown an affinity for business marketing and entrepreneurship. I plan to work as an account executive in the advertising industry for a few years, potentially dabble in public relations and then open a startup advertising consultant agency. I would love to get an MBA degree. I would also love to create documentary films. I would also love to start a study abroad agency. I would also love to travel around the world on a sailboat. I would also love to stop having so many ideas.
So, for now, I am focusing on my switch from journalism to advertising and doing all I can to learn about business. And yes, I do enjoy a good steak and Kenny G.
